We cover GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics for all the content that students will cover through Year 10 & Year 11 at school, going through the curriculum in weekly sessions from September 2025
Our courses will begin in September, and run throughout the academic year right through to exam season
We have written our course according the AQA GCSE specification. However, this will still be extremely relevant for both OCR and Edexcel students as well, with several students from those boards having attended our classes being a testament to this.
Our teachers have decades of teaching experience both in-person and online, and are DBS checked
The course covers the GCSE specification in weekly sessions from September to April, with lessons covering a few spec points at time, to make sure we cover everything that students need to know for their GCSE exams. There will also be Easter Bootcamps as a crash course going through the entire syllabus, as well as Cram Classes the night before exams to give students support right up to the day of their exams!
The FRL Pro portal gives students access to all our weekly live classes, as well
as the accompanying workbooks to print out and follow along with in each
session. Students will also have homework from each class to attempt, with the
ability to review their answers with our video walkthroughs for each homework
that we set. At the end of each month, they will be given a quiz to test their
knowledge on everything taught in that month.
Additionally, for schools specifically we will provide students with revision
guides and cheat sheets every month, giving them everything they need for
perfect exam preparation!
On your school dashboard, you'll be able to monitor student's progress through the portal and see what assignments they've completed and the content that they have covered, so you're able to how they're getting on with the course.
Our lessons our taught based off of the specification, with references made to the specification directly in every lesson, so we are making sure that we are covering exactly what's needed for the exams, so this should supplement exactly what you are covering the curriculum at school.
In each lesson, teachers will highlight the specification points that will be covered in the lesson. They will then go over the content, with opportunity for students to interact and ask questions at any stage to ensure they're understanding everything that is be covered. They also have the accompanying workbooks that they will be able to use to follow along in each lesson, and by the end they have comprehensive notes based on each session's content. Following each lesson they then have exam questions to confirm whether they have understood the topics covered in the respective lesson.
All our live sessions are recorded and will remain on our portal, so if a student ever misses a class they have the opportunity to go back to the class in the portal and watch back the recording in their own time to ensure they don't miss a single lesson.
At FRL, we strongly believe that interaction during classes is the best way to learn – just AI tools and resources on their own are not enough. Therefore, we particularly encourage interaction between students and teachers in our live classes to ensure students are getting the most out of each session as possible, while also fostering a sense of community among the students, supporting each other through their Science GCSE's. With our classes being recorded to be able to watch back at any time, this also supports students in carrying out self-study as well – which we know is vital to achieving exam success.
Students access live classes from their FRL Pro portal, ensuring that we control who attends our sessions. During the sessions, we also have a team of moderators who are there to encourage interaction, as well as enforce community guidelines to help maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
